I enjoyed a super fun class today at the DeWitt District Library! Jozefa, youth services librarian, taught us how to marbelize paper–it was astounding! I heartily recommend learning this process–it’s beautiful and unpredictable!

Just a reminder that Earth Day Birth Day! is coming to town on Saturday, April 22nd!  Join me, 11AM-3PM, to make a new book from old book parts.  Visit the Red Cedar Meeting House in Old Town Lansing, 1400 Turner Street ( This is a free community art event, funded by a GRIT grant from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing & National Endowment for the Arts. City of Lansing parking lots and meters are FREE ON SATURDAYS!

Welcome to my new blog for 2023! I am looking forward to attending the Quilt & Surface Design Symposium ( this year–it is an exciting gathering of creative and innovative teachers and students. I will participate in two workshops, May 28-June 4, in Columbus, Ohio. What a wonderful treat for fiber-y folks!

“Art for a Cause”

“Art for a Cause” is a call for 4″ square collages to be donated to MidStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. What a delightful project and I am sending off my contributions soon. Enjoy and collage for a cause!
